016 - The 50-Year Interracial Marriage (whatever "interracial" even means) - Annie & Bobby

Annie and Bobby have been together since 1965.  Their marriage is a success by any standard, but it’s amazing they found one another to begin with, because they as they say, they couldn’t have come from two more different worlds.  Annie was raised in LA amongst the hollywood elite - in fact she still has the Oscar her daddy won sitting on their mantle at home. Bobby was poor, rural, and black.  But they did find one another, and they fell in love, and as they said after the show - somehow they found the guts to be an interracial couple in the 60’s.  Now, more than 50 years later they’re still together, and as you’ll hear on the show, they’re still very much in love.  Though they wouldn’t make too big a thing of that.   Today’s episode is simply about reflecting on 50 years together.
