Maria studied law and made Partner within a year of qualifying working as a Corporate Litigator for one of the largest law firms in Britain. Maria first fell in love with property early in her career as the Edinburgh office she was in charge of also had an estate agency. However, following a health scare for Gordon, Maria and Gordon decided to change their lifestyle and set off travelling the world. They lived in Hawaii for a year before returning to the Highlands.
