#037 Changing Homes

from Love Change Hosted by Amor Muto

We move places as we grow up, sometimes involuntarily if our parents decide to move houses or countries. Later in life based on our own decision as we study and accept jobs. This implies often not only to move our stuff but to learn a new language, mingle into a new culture, and to create a place we can call home. Nowadays, the options are manifold and people decide to live and work remotely without having a base. But then what is it like to live this independent? Does that lifestyle allow us to create a sense of home? And actually, the question is what makes a place a home? We believe it's mostly the people that create a sense of home. And once you leave, you miss the connection you had there. Creating a sense of home takes time but it's time well invested. Amor has moved from Iran when he was six and K moved from Poland when she was eleven, both grew up in different cultures and learned what it is like to leave behind a place both called home. Join us for the Love Change Podcast as we are exploring the topic of #changinghomes. We are sharing how it felt to move countries at a young age and what it is like to be a foreigner in the country you call home. If you care about connecting on a real and shame-free level, this podcast is filled with taboo-less confessions, laughter as well as some surprising facts about changing home.
