039 - Savoury Beers

Welcome to A Woman’s Brew, where women talk about beer! The day has come! We’ve been telling you about Jo’s homebrew of the mustard beer for a while and in this episode we finally get to taste it! We thought we’d look at other savoury beers while we were at it – we’ve got a Yorkshire pudding pale and a pizza gose for you! Beer usually goes down the path of sweeter flavours, but there are some great beers that use savoury flavours out there – think herbs, veg, bread, chilli, seafood, even squid ink. It’s worth giving beers with this in a go as brewers can create some really interesting results. Of course, there is always the thought ‘just because they could, does that mean they should?!’ In this episode we say, maybe!
