While we usually just hear about pelvic floor issues related to having a baby, your pelvic floor muscles are actually involved in your bowel, urinary, and sexual functions. Some signs you might need to seek help with your pelvic floor are if you’re leaking urine when you perform activities, experiencing constipation that isn’t alleviated by diet, or experiencing pain during sex. Treatment for pelvic floor issues could take as few as 3-6 visits, and more severe cases require six months of physical therapy. From there, you should be able to maintain your progress through regular exercise and healthy habits. Hi!
