052 - Your Truth Will Out: Rae & Morgan Part 2

from Together. A Podcast About Relationships

You can't say the wrong thing to the right person. Our episodes this week are about speaking our truths. In Part 1 of our interview with Rae and Morgan, we heard about an inner truth that just "popped out of Rae's mouth" on an early date. Today we'll hear about some deeper truths—around sexual desire in particular, and sexual desire for people other than our spouse—that are often difficult for couples to face. So while our interview today focuses somewhat on non-monogamy, the more significant issue at hand is one of honest, courageous communication. I do believe that the non-monogamous have a lot to teach us all about relationships, simply because they're engaged in exponentially more relationship dynamics than the monogamous. And I've written an article on that topic in our magazine this week called What the Monogamous Can Learn from The Polyamorous. Another word for freedom is nothing left to hide. Thank you Rae and Morgan for reminding us all about that. If you like what we're up to here at Together, please consider supporting our crowdfunding campaign at patreon.com/together. We're on a mission to crush shame, and we're just getting off the ground, so every penny helps. Thank you!
