This event is part of ART+CLIMATE=CHANGE 2015 a Melbourne-wide festival of art exhibitions, forums and talks seeking to harness the creative power of the Arts to inform, engage and inspire action on climate change. Lloyd's paintings are influenced by cinema, in particular Film Noir and Science Fiction, and the Romantic conception of the sublime. Lloyd's largely monochromatic paintings are realist in style. Tony Lloyd has curated exhibitions including the inaugural Notfair in 2010. An alternative art fair which he founded with Sam Leach and Ashley Crawford, and Insight Radical, a Science/art project held at the Science Exchange in Adelaide. Lloyd is also an art writer, his pieces have been published on artinfo.com.au and in Artist Profile magazine. His art has been showcased internationally in places such as Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Melbourne and London.[6] He is the winner of the 2012 John Leslie Art Prize. The Prize is a prestigious award for landscape paintings that attracts artists from across Australia.
