Emily Harveaux's childhood was filled with sugar and sweet treats. From a very young age, she associated comfort and warmth with candy (like most of us!).Over her lifetime Emily says that she has run the gamut of sizes as well as her relationship with food and disordered eating. Sugar was definitely part of it.Her weight has fluctuated a lot: as much as 300lbs at one point. Now she's about 150lbs.She always thought that sugar would always be part of her life. But it's only in the last couple of years that she has come to the realization that maybe she's done with sugar. 4 years ago, Emily discovered intermittent fasting. It helped her get her head straight about food. And it helped her understand which foods were better for her body. For her, fasting is listening. She learned to listen to her body and her real needs. She also discovered that the less sugar she ate, the easier fasting became.
