Yahweh contemplates starting over... again, but Moses, the original spin doctor of the Old Testament, turns the situation around. It is decreed that anyone over the age of 20 who isn't related to Caleb or Joshua will be denied entrance to the land of milk and honey, due to the sins of 10 of the 12 scouts sent to find the Promised Land. Plagues, curses, and more rules about stoning and prayer shawls are handed down.
