The Human and The Machine Fully Connected How will technology affect us? Yes, we’ve been here before, the Industrial Revolution caused all kinds of social upheaval, good and bad. But can we compare that to where we are now? This era of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is transforming all we know and the risk is that the human becomes outsourced. On the Nature of Things (Leonard translation) by Titus Lucretius Carus Loyal Books On the Nature of Things, written in the first century BCE by Titus Lucretius Carus, is one of the principle expositions on Epicurean philosophy and science to have survived from antiquity. Tiny Matters is an award-winning science podcast from the American Chemical Society about tiny things — from molecules to microbes — that have a big and often surprising impact on society, past and present. From deadly diseases to forensic toxicology to the search for extraterrestrial life, hosts and former scientists Sam Jones and Deboki Chakravarti embrace the awe and messiness of science and its significance, asking questions like, "how was IVF invented?," "what do glaciers tell us about Earth’s ancient past?," and "why is smallpox the only human infectious disease we’ve eradicated?"
