from Podknows Business Network

Are you finding passion and purpose in everything you do?  Making Conversations about finding passion and purpose Count! "...how do we create time and space for you, given your life. Given your family. Given the role that you have. How do we create time and space for yourself?" Nicola Buckley, Making Conversations Count - (July 2022) Psst! Low on data? Here's a lower bandwidth version for you. Leadership. It's a bit like a coat you know... This is one of those real rollercoaster conversations our podcast has become known (and award-nominated 😉) for! There are a lot of voices out there, that are speaking on leadership. And not just in podcasting. There are Ted talks, YouTubers and even multi-million dollar platformed public speakers and authors who all have their own perspectives to share on leadership. And she was saying that first of all, it felt like we did a lot of work together on ourselves. We did a lot of work on a leadership style. We just went really deep on stuff. And she did the work, she really focused on it. And as a result, when she went into that role, she's kind of, in a lot of ways, already doing it. There were some changes she had to make in a team, so for people to step up, to give them more freedom, to be more strategic. But she said, I feel like I'm putting on a coat and that coat didn't really fit at first and it's a beautiful coat I love, and I love the colours, but at first it didn't quite fit me. It was feeling a bit off. It felt like it was almost a little bit too much for me. But now when I go into those meetings..." Click here for the full transcript What IS Making Conversations Count?
