After accepting an invitation to perform at the Crypto Ball, an event honoring Donald Trump’s inauguration, Nelly is getting dragged all over the place. From getting called an idiot by Amanda Seales to even Ashanti fans shutting fan pages on Instagram down, Nelly opting to perform at this event is being met with a lot of anger. Nelly is doubling down, saying it’s about respecting the office for him, but is the backlash too severe? Also, we haven’t touched much on Drake’s UMG lawsuit, but many are suspecting that such a move is setting a bad precedent with respect to creative freedom in music. Is Drake potentially setting a bad trend when it comes to how to react to the result of a beef? We give our takes.
