#1 - Johannes Houwink ten Cate - Het geheime dagboek van Arnold Douwes, Jodenredder

Anderhalf jaar lang schreef Arnold Douwes in zijn dagboek tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Op zich is dat niet zo bijzonder, want veel mensen hielden in die tijd een dagboek bij. Wat wel bijzonder is, is dat hij honderden joden hielp onder te duiken. Dat legde hij allemaal vast en beschreef schuilplaatsen, namen en eigenschappen van alle mensen die hij heeft geholpen. Nu, 73 jaar later, kunnen we het dagboek van Douwes lezen. Het is samengesteld door Johannes Houwink ten Cate, onderzoeker bij het NIOD. Het boek illustreert wat voor man Douwes was en hoe hij op grote schaal verzetswerk deed. Johannes Houwink ten Cate gaat in gesprek met presentator Hein Hofman
