She has a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Spelman College and a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Emory University. Kanika directs Career Development and Workforce Diversity programs at a nonprofit scientific organization in Rockville, Maryland. In her position, she oversees professional development activities for early career researchers. Kanika considers herself an exercise junkie but despises running.
