1 Peter 4:1-6: Suffering

This week we look at another passage in 1 Peter that is not easy to understand. "....whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin," Peter says. What exactly could he mean by this? Peter is calling the church to the same willingness that Jesus had to do the Father's will, even if that means facing suffering. But can suffering really lead to an absence of sin?
