1 Samuel 14 shows us another moment ofrescue. We learn the Lord keeps his promise and fights his own battles. He doesn’tneed a king, He doesn’t need the ark of the Covenant. He does use the King’sson Jonathon. God saved then through the King’s Son, Jonathon. God saves now, throughGod’s Son, Jesus. We are saved not just from Philistines but death itself.Sometimes we need to be reminded of this great act of grace from God towardshis distracted people.
