10| Alison infertility: 5 unsuccessful IVF cycles, natural pregnancy, advanced maternal age, struggles of breastfeeding, menopause, bioidentical hormones.

from Love Patty Podcast: Genuine Conversations on fertility, family, feminism, and life as a modern female · host Clare Patricia and Chloe Patricia

This is a beautifully honest conversation about Alison's journey to Motherhood. After meeting her husband later in life, the odds were stacked against them due to advanced maternal age. Her GP quickly recommended fertility specialists to aid their pregnancy journey. Alison talks openly about the soul consuming world of IVF and her 5 unsuccessful cycles and two early pregnancy losses. At age 44 they decided that enough was enough and would cease all fertility treatments. One month after stopping IVF, and a very boozy silly season, Alison took a pregnancy test at work on a hunch and it was positive! The biggest shock of her life,.where she says becoming a Mum to her son Daniel was the best feeling in the world. Alison and Clare chat about the struggles of breastfeeding, as well as Ali also touching on starting a whole new journey with bioidentical hormones, when she went through menopause. This is an insightful and positive story for all of our Pattie’s deep in the fertility trenches, where you just don't know what's around the corner. We hope you enjoy another open and honest conversation. Love Patty x Instagram: @lovepattypodcast music: @lillifairfax
