68|Rosie Rees- Yoni Egg to IVF. A Cosmic Love Story, from sexual awakening to motherhood.
This week on Love Patty, we’re joined by the incredible Rosie Rees, Queer Queen activist for internalised freedom, pleasure pioneer, sex educator, groundbreaking sex-toy creator, and founder of Yoni Pleasure Palace, The Naked Awakening, Splash Blanket and Yin Body. Rosie’s work goes far beyond helping women feel comfortable in their bodies. She challenges the deeply ingrained beliefs that tell women to be smaller, quieter and less connected to their pleasure, and invites us to reclaim our bodies as places of freedom, joy and self-discovery. We dive into everything from Rosie’s sexual reawakening, Yoni Eggs and naked yoga, to the evolution of her infamous “Squirt Blanket” into the Splash Blanket. A beautifully practical product that has found an entirely new life beyond the bedroom, from postpartum nappy-free time and breastfeeding leaks to skin-to-skin and starting solids! But this conversation is about so much more than pleasure. Rosie opens up about falling in love with her wife Ash after years of a complicated, long-distance crush, despite them both being in heterosexual relationships at the time. Their story is one of courage, cosmic connection and taking a leap when life doesn’t necessarily look how you imagined it would. Rosie never pictured motherhood for herself, but suddenly found herself becoming a stepmum and navigating a completely new chapter of life with Ash. Then, in 2020, Ash became suddenly unwell and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis after presenting to hospital with paralysis in both legs. They spent six months in a wheelchair and underwent intensive rehabilitation to walk again. After walking down the aisle together, Rosie finally felt ready to pursue motherhood herself. Tragically, just six weeks after their wedding, Rosie’s mother died by suicide, changing the course of that journey once again. What follows is an extraordinary story of resilience, love, grief, hope and an unconventional path to motherhood. After four years of trying to conceive through "turkey basting" Rosie and Ash found themselves on what can only be described as a fated path when a woman offered to donate her late gay son’s sperm to a lesbian couple, with the hope of becoming a surrogate grandparent to the resulting child. For Rosie, who had experienced the devastating loss of her own mother, the connection was immediate and profound. That journey has now led to a successful IVF pregnancy, and Rosie is expecting her baby in November 2026 and she shares the gender of her baby with us! Alongside everything life has thrown at her, Rosie has built three thriving businesses from the ground up, creating spaces and products that encourage women to reconnect with their bodies, pleasure and confidence. This is a conversation about love, sexuality, grief, motherhood, resilience, business, identity and the courage to live life on your own terms. It’s joyful, vulnerable, hilarious and deeply moving — and we think you’re going to absolutely love Rosie. Happy shopping, Patty’s. Love Patty xox

59| Tara CMV pregnancy, From Survival to Soul Rising: Tara's Story of Motherhood, Healing and Purpose.
Welcome back to Love Patty This week we’re joined by the incredible Tara; mum of three, co-founder of Soul Rising Collective women’s retreats, and the woman behind the Gold Coast’s only clothes library. Tara bravely shares the story of her first pregnancy, where she was diagnosed with CMV and faced the unimaginable — being advised to terminate. She takes us through the emotional rollercoaster of seeking a second opinion, finding hope with a compassionate MFM specialist, and enduring weekly testing, MRIs, and blood work. From being told she wouldn’t be able to breastfeed to planning a C-section, Tara opens up about the fear, uncertainty, and strength it took to keep going. She also shares how she turned to vlogging as a form of therapy, creating her YouTube channel “CMV Stops With Me,” and the moment everything shifted, when her daughter Frankie was born healthy, with no signs of complications. Beyond her birth story, Tara speaks candidly about losing herself in motherhood with three little ones close in age, and how slowly reconnecting with joy and fun for herself sparked something bigger. That spark became Soul Rising Collective women's retreats designed for mums to simply arrive, be held, and reconnect with themselves. With Tara’s background in breath work and women’s circles, these retreats are all about rediscovering you. Clare first met Tara through her clothes library, a beautiful, practical solution to the fast fashion cycle so many of us are stuck in. What started as a simple idea while working in a pool shop has grown into a powerful community resource, helping women borrow outfits, save money, and reduce waste. There’s even a toy library, so your little ones can enjoy something new without the cost or environmental impact. This is a heartfelt and hope-filled conversation, for anyone navigating a CMV diagnosis, considering VBAC, or simply needing a reminder that you’re allowed to find yourself again in motherhood. Trigger warning: pregnancy loss and stillbirth are discussed in this episode. Thank you for being here and for your ongoing support. 58 | Elizabeth rodeo videographer, working single mum, finding yourself after divorce, following your intuition, creativity, filling your cup, western world, online community, supporting women, cowboy thirst traps
In this episode we chat with Elizabeth — a rodeo videographer, full-time manager, single mum of two, and the creative force behind three thriving Instagram accounts with nearly 90K followers on her rodeo contest page. Just a few years ago, none of this existed. After navigating the heartbreak of divorce, Elizabeth felt a quiet but persistent intuitive pull to try something completely new. With zero experience in photography and no connections to the rodeo or western world, she bought a camera, booked a flight to a rodeo, and started filming — despite many people close to her advising against it. What began as a leap of faith quickly turned into a creative passion and an entirely new chapter. Through capturing the raw, gritty world of bull riding and rodeo culture, Elizabeth found not only her artistic voice but also a supportive community and a growing online audience captivated by her authentic storytelling — and yes, occasionally her viral “thirst trap” videos featuring some very photogenic bull riders (hello that heated rivalry soundtrack reel!). In this honest, funny and deeply inspiring conversation, we talk about rebuilding your identity after divorce, the realities of solo parenting, following intuitive nudges even when they don’t make sense, and how she entered the western and rodeo world with no prior connections. Elizabeth shares what it’s really like filming bull riders behind the scenes, the moments that unexpectedly went viral online, navigating anxiety and mum guilt, and the double standards working mums often face. We also chat about financial independence, single life and dating advice for the ladies, western fashion and etiquette, and the exciting plans she has in the works for a huge new project aligned with her Single Cowboy brand. We recorded this conversation over Zoom before 7am Australian time (because mums), while Elizabeth joined us from Virginia. Naturally, our kids chose that night to not sleep — so this episode was powered by coffee, concealer, and plenty of laughs. The conversation felt less like an interview and more like three friends catching up over coffee… or maybe a cocktail. Elizabeth’s story is proof that rejection really can be redirection, and that it’s never too late to start again, follow your creativity, and build something meaningful — especially when you’re doing it to show your children what resilience looks like.We absolutely loved this chat and know you will too. Love,Patty xx

57| Solo Clare & Chloe. Feeding Battles, mum guilt & saying goodbye to Digger Pa.
Patty's this one is a big one. We start with baby Jack, who is now six months old, and the feeding challenges that have completely rocked the boat. From CMPI allergy and bottle aversion to navigating a full multidisciplinary team, we talk about what it’s really like when feeding isn’t “just feeding.” The appointments, the conflicting advice, the mental load… and the mum guilt that creeps in anyway. Chloe shares about advocating for herself after experiencing her first panic attack in seven years. What followed was pathology, answers, and a diagnosis of postpartum thyroiditis. A reminder that sometimes anxiety isn’t “just in your head,” and that mums deserve thorough care too. Clare opens up about seeing the incredible Tina, our trusted gynaecologist, and starting the OCP in hopes of finally getting relief from debilitating ovulation pain. Clare also unpack the chaos of moving house with toddlers, the stress that simmers underneath it all, and her controversial thought… bringing TV back for the kids!? And then, in the final 30 minutes, everything shifts. Clare and Chloe open up about the sudden passing of Clare’s beautiful Dad, Tony. It’s unfiltered. It’s raw. There is ugly crying. There are lifelong memories that will make you laugh through tears. We talk about what it means to navigate grief while still having to show up every single day as a mother. If you are holding loss in one hand and motherhood in the other, we see you. We hold space for you. This episode is dedicated to our beloved “Digger Pa.” We love you. We miss you. Always. Love, George & Emma 🤍

55 | Taneeka: From 1 to 3 children after twins, peri/ postnatal depression, Positive Vaginal Birth, Induction Experience, SAHM Life & Traveling with Kids
Patty's we know you love a birth story, and Taneeka has kindly shared both her positive vaginal birth's- first with her son and then with her twin girls. This chat is so wholesome for mothers in all phases of life. Neek's talks on making the choice to be a full time SAHM after finding out she was pregnant with the girls. This was a difficult decision, as returning to work after having her son was a 'mind break' ; the identity shift of not "working" for the first time was hard to navigate. Although we all know the hardest and most rewarding "job" in the world is being a Mum, we all feel the guilt of needing to be more. We open up on the jump from 1 to 2/3 kids, and the grief you feel for your first borns; being pulled in so many directions. We chat the growth your heart feels at welcoming more children into your life, the special bonds between siblings, and how we need to lower the expectations on older siblings and remember they are little too. Neek’s speaks on feeling so anxious overwhelmed and mentally flat in her first pregnancy, and how taking time for herself- working out at the gym and listening to other women's stories, made her feel less alone. Her pregnancy and birth with the girls was very healing for her motherhood wound, we also touch on travelling with the children, and the amazing experience of caravan travel with her family. Please share this with any other twin mums, pregnant or postpartum women. You are amazing. Love Patty. xxx

54| Ashlee Mum of 4! 4 different fertility journey's, IVF, birth stories, HG, recoveries, laparoscopies, endometriosis, ulcerative colitis, post partum anxiety, intrusive thoughts, isolation, therapy, stay at home mum, hardest transitions, reflective compassion for first time mum worries, sleep deprivation, colic, intolerances, relaxing into motherhood, complex decisions to take embryo's off ice, studying, letting go of mothering perfection, thriving as a big family
Ep 54 is the widest chat yet, and we loved every minute of it. Join Chloe, Clare and Ashlee for a big, honest, funny (quite a few giggles!) and deeply heartfelt conversation that covers so many topics! Ashlee is a Mum of four, aged 35 (currently studying this year!) and has been with her husband since she was 17. She opens up about her full fertility journey, with each child conceived differently; natural conception, Clomid, IUI and IVF, all delivered with Dr Drew Moffrey from the Gold Coast. We talk through her birth stories, including two emergency and two planned C-sections, an attempted VBAC, and the realities of post-birth recovery. Ashlee shares her experience living with chronic illness, including late-discovered endometriosis with bowel involvement, multiple laparoscopies, ulcerative colitis, and hyperemesis gravidarum, aka extreme! pregnancy sickness. She speaks honestly about the toll it takes and how she managed it alongside Motherhood. We also dive into post-partum anxiety, extreme intrusive thoughts, panic attacks, the scenarios our brain can play out to us, and the role therapy played in her healing. Ashlee reflects on becoming a Mum for the first time, being the first in her friend group, the intense anxiety she did not recognise until later, and how she struggled to ever leave her babies, even with her husband. Add extreme sleep deprivation and a so-called “colic baby” (later discovered to have intolerances) and it is no wonder that transition from zero to one felt like the hardest of all. One of the most emotional parts of the episode is Ashlee sharing the incredibly nuanced and difficult decision to take frozen embryos out of storage, or as we lovingly call it, snow sleep. It’s a conversation filled with compassion and honesty that so many women will resonate with. Now feeling like much more of a relaxed Mum, Ashlee looks back wishing she could give her first-time mum self a big hug. She speaks about how much she loves her big, fun family, being a stay at home Mum for several years now, and how the journey has brought her and her husband even closer. This episode is a reminder that there is no such thing as perfect mothering.. nor should we pressure outselves to do it all! The sheets do not need washing every week, and if you end up cuddled in bed watching a Disney movie because your baby is not tired at 8pm, that is more than okay. Women feeling seen and heard is what this chat is all about. We loved this conversation. Ps, Ashlee you have been through so much, a warrior and amazing woman, lovingly supporting your big beautiful family! Love the Patty’s Xx

53| Mirinda: Satya.psychology; Matrescence, birth trauma, surrendering in motherhood, postpartum identity loss, mental load & burnout, self-care vs avoidance, toxic productivity, walk-and-talk therapy, emotional regulation, mind-body healing, grief, and the duality of motherhood feelings.
Episode 53 with amazing Mirinda from satya.psychology, a mum of toddler twins boys! psych- and trauma-informed yoga teacher, and walk-and-talk therapist. This conversation sits at the intersection of mental health, holistic wellbeing, and the very real mental load carried by modern mums. The invisible juggling. The constant thinking. The love and resentment, gratitude and grief—all existing at the same time. We unpack matrescence and birth trauma, the loss (and reshaping) of identity in postpartum, and what it truly means to surrender in motherhood while learning to be comfortable with discomfort. There’s a grounded look at self care—how to voice support, and the honest difference berween “I need a break” and “I need to numb out…avoidance, numbing and actually honouring what you need in that moment, This episode also explores toxic productivity, emotional regulation (why it’s not about staying calm but about learning to feel), and the powerful mind-body approach to therapy. We dive into why walking—side by side, in motion—can gently rewire the nervous system and create space for clarity, regulation, and healing. Also hey positive multi-talking with exercise, talking, fresh air, sunshine and getting the dog or baby for a walk too. A conversation that honours duality, holds space for grief, and reminds mums that multiple truths can coexist—and that you’re still a good person for feeling them all. We loved tbis multi-faceted chat and cannot wIt to book some walk and talk therapy with satya.psychology! love patty xx

52| Kayla. VBAC birth, Nurturing the mother, planning postpartum and finding harmony of masculine v feminine energy.
Please welcome Kayla Ruston, former founder of The PCOS Bible and Motherhood Leaked podcast, now mum of two and womb wellness coach. Kayla empowers women to reconnect with and reclaim their feminine essence and transform their pain into power. Clare and Kayla have a very long friendship going back to gymnastics when they were 5 years old, living in a share house with first loves, and then entering into motherhood at the same time with our first-born sons. They bonded over tricky transitions into motherhood, loss of identity, and expectations as first-time mums versus the healing second postpartum. Clare and Kayla both suffered with postnatal anxiety with their first-borns, and they openly talk about how that manifested for each of them and the paths they took to manage this, whilst reflecting on how healthy second births and postpartum can be. Kayla wisely states the importance of nurturing the mother’s spark, as her light guides the path for the whole family unit. If we forget to feed the flame of the mother, then everyone is left in the dark. We approach how self-care manifests for us, how we reclaim a sense of self in postpartum, and that it is okay to want more than “just being mum.” Clare was able to help Kayla plan her VBAC birth for Ari, her second-born son, and we dive into the tricky mix of woo-woo spirituality, whilst also being comfortable with modern medicine, and how you can have a beautiful birth in a hospital setting. Kayla had to let go of “success” being a home birth with no interventions, when in fact we need to validate birth in all forms. So much of birth is about the strength of letting go, lowering expectations, and leaning into your intuition — all things important for postpartum. Kayla had a painful posterior labour and had to surrender many prior “ideals” for her birth. This chat is raw, honest, and healing on all accounts. The perfect reminder to soften and accept our feminine energy and let go of the fast-paced, task-driven, goal-setting masculine side of us. A touch of woo-woo spirituality, balanced with the realness of motherhood. Love,Patty x

51| S6! Clare & Chloe Update! Baby life, Colonoscopy, iron deficiency, postpartum intimacy, ovulation pain and ADHD diagnosis.
Season 6! — and we’re kicking things off with a cosy, no-filter solo chat with Clare and Chloe. It’s been ages since we’ve sat down for a simple life update, so we’re diving into all the things we’ve been navigating behind the scenes. From the so-called “must-have” baby products we may or may not have cheated on… to the postpartum ovulation pain!! And petiod pain (seriously, WTF is going on?). We touch on post-partum intimacy — and some important, less glamorous bits: colonoscopies, advocating for your own health instead of blaming everything on “mum fatigue,” iron deficiency, and even B6 toxicity (yes, it’s a thing). Clare also opens up about her ADHD diagnosis and her ongoing medication journey, sharing honestly about what’s worked, what hasn’t, and what she’s still figuring out. It’s raw, it’s real,— and it feels good to be back. love patty xx

50| Lauren's Positive pregnancy news! Miracles do happen, 1 year between podcast episode.
In this deeply personal follow-up episode, Chloe and Clare welcome back the beautiful Lauren — whose story of infertility, PCOS and hope first touched hearts in 2024.When we last heard from Lauren, she was courageously hitting pause on her fertility journey to focus on healing her body, mind and spirit. Today, she returns to share the incredible next chapter — how that pause led her to the right doctor, the right energy, and ultimately… her long-awaited positive pregnancy test. Lauren opens up about the power of slowing down, the impact of finding a female doctor who truly listened, and what she did differently in her third embryo transfer — from acupuncture and PRP therapy to emotional surrender and the gentle reminder that “the only thing in control is the embryo.” She shares the raw, real moments of early pregnancy — from the tears of seeing two lines for the first time, to the fear of a sudden bleed and the relief of learning about hematomas. Lauren also speaks vulnerably about navigating the emotional side of pregnancy after infertility: the hormonal rollercoaster, boundary-setting, mumma bear instincts, and the complex mix of gratitude and guilt that comes with finally being on the other side.Through it all, one thing shines — the unwavering love and support of her husband Craig, and the reminder that the right partner makes even the hardest seasons bearable. This episode is a full-circle moment — from praying for a period to growing a miracle. Lauren’s story is a testament to hope, surrender, and the power of trusting that everything unfolds in its own divine timing. Whether you’re deep in the trenches of infertility, walking alongside someone who is, or simply believe in the quiet magic of never giving up — this one will move you, uplift you, provide hope to those who need, and remind you that healing often begins in the pause Love Party x

*Patty's do not blame us for the shopping that is conducted after, listening to this episode... Millie, Kat and Clare all worked in emregncy together, we open up about burnout amongst health care professionals. However, no one could have predicted the cosmic guidance and divine timing of it all. Kat opens up about her tricky postpartum with her beautiful son Otis who had very low sleep needs, food intolerances and was unsettled alot. Millie became another set of hands to hold or more often a body to help babywear Otis so that Kat could have a shower and 5 mins to her self. Then 1 year ago when Käärme blew up, Millie asked Kat to be all in, Kat was already heavily involved the business, whilst trying to balance the return to work / daycare juggle and it was not good. The universe answered and Kat left nursing (for now) too join the business full time. This allowed her to mother the way her family needed, whilst working within Käärme. 45| Chloe Postpartum Life with Jack. positive c-section, formula feeding, breastfeeding challenges, sleep deprivation and finally feeling whole with her baby in her life.
Patty's its the one we have all been waiting for, Chloe has welcomed her miracle baby boy into the world and we have all travelled on this emotional journey with her. Baby Jack is 8 weeks old, and this episode also marks one year of the Love Patty Podcast! Wow what a year, starting episode one with Chloe's infertility journey, and now we can chat all things postpartum with her. Chloe, Clare and baby Jack chat through Chloe's amazing c-section experience "it was the best day of my life, I‘d do it all again tomorrow". Tom even surprised us all and Chloe was able to have the curtain dropped and watch Jack being brought into this world. Chloe had an extremely positive hospital stay, all the midwives were a great support for her and Tom. Jack needed a few nights in SCN, which Chloe was grateful for all her prenatal expressing. Chloe had a very rough first week at home, with lots of breastfeeding challenges, her milk was slow to come in, Jack was loosing weight and not sleeping and the stress was becoming overwhelming. With the fabulous support of her midwife, she transitioned to formula feeding and she is much happier Mum now. The real MVP being her automated formula "babyccino" machine haha. Jack is thriving, gaining weight and meeting all his milestones. Chloe is so in love with beautiful Jack and the newborn stage, and feels the happiest she has been in her life; finally feeling "whole" after wanting him for so long. Yes the transition into sleep deprivation is hard, but she wouldn't change it for the world. We know you are all going to be swooning over the little baby squeaks and burps you hear through out this ep. Clare was so happy to have Chloe back behind the mic too. Love Patty x

44| Rebecca: NICU experience, bicornuate uterus, male postnatal depression, PTSD, PPROM, Bleeding in pregnancy, breastfeeding and getting a mental health care plan.
*Trigger warning* This episode will discuss, NICU experience, postnatal depression in mothers and partners leading to suicidal thoughts. Bleeding in pregnancy, preterm labour and other medical conditions and procedures. Patty's this week's raw and honest chat, is about 2 year old Franklin and his harrowing journey into this world. I speak with Bec in depth about her pregnancy complications, due in part to her bicornuate uterus (meaning it has a heart shape) Franklin was growing in one side and the septum dividing the sides, meant Bec kept developing blood clots on the 'empty side' and experienced bleeding through out her whole 29 weeks of her pregnancy. Bec shares her preterm labour journey, with craziness of bed block, being prepared to drive 3 hours away to another hospital and birth, with no support and no accomodation. Bec was open and shares in my opinion the most honest recap of what being a NICU parent is like and I think this chat was invaluable for the amount of knowledge and insight it has given me. This is a great episode for anyone, who knows someone who has delivered a premie baby. Franklin despite all challenges, was thriving and was able to go home after 10 weeks in hospital! However, it was 2 months post discharge that both Bec and her husband Jimmy, really stopped and broke down. After running in survival mood for so long, the PTSD, anxiety, sleep deprivation and postnatal depression had caught up and Jimmy very bravely told Bec he was having suicidal thoughts. Thankfully with talk therapy, family support and good communication both Bec and Jimmy were able to treat their mental health. I won't say "cure" as mental health is something we always need to take care of, it needs ongoing support and assistance. This episode is a long one, but with so many important topics being discussed I wanted to do them all justice. 43| Sarah Strozkiy Personal Stylist. How we can build confidence, save money, feel great and find quality clothes.
Patty's get ready to build your style, find your vibe and feel great all on a fund friendly budget. Welcome Sarah from 'She's So Seasonal' back in 2019 I saw a gap in the fashion world - stylists weren't highlighting affordable clothes from places like Kmart or Target or teaching us how to style them. It frustrated me that women on a tight budget couldn't look amazing too. So, I decided to make fashion accessible to every woman, regardless of their lifestyle. Sarah and Clare actually start off chatting about how motherhood can change who we are and we can feel lonely and lost in our new roles. Sarah very honestly opened up on the hate and bullying she received when she announced she was pregnant and even lost 20k followers over night. Sarah and Clare discuss postnatal depression and anxiety, seeking treatment and how we want others to know i't can be better!' 'You can feel better!' Clare admits to being a dag and spending way to many hours in her pjs, but Sarah is quick to defend that each season of life is different and feeling good can look like a nice matching leisure wear set. Sarah gives great advice on picking natural fibres, avoiding synectics and dressing for your environment. She has amazing style guides, to help you build outfits from your own wardrobe and how often the answer is not new clothes. Her guides can be used to inspire and build outfits from what you have, but also include links to purchases too. Clare has used them when op shopping to find a bargain. This is a raw honest conversation about motherhood, getting lost and finding your self and style again. We want to see all your new outfits inspired by this chat. She is passionate about creating intimacy, love and connection with her clients and teaching clinicians how to talk to their patients about sex. Clare and Isiah leave no stone unturned, answering all the Patty's questions about sex and relationships. Isiah spends time normalising the postpartum "roommate" phase and gives great advice on navigating through tricky times. Working on building communication and playfulness back into the relationship and taking the pressure of penetrative sex. Rather focusing on connection and talking about what we want openly and asking for it! We should stop expecting our sexual partners to be mind readers, let's take back the power of intimacy and lay it all out, letting each other know what is one the "menu" per se. Clare opens up about faking orgasms in past relationships, an Isiah speaks on removing orgasms as the goal post for "successful" intimacy. We debunk the myths on postpartum, low labido and postmenopausal sex, we also hear some fun stories from the 'mature' women Isiah see's in her practice and why they are having the best sex of their lives! 40| Chole ADHD, Car Births, themed dinner parties & when small business booms!
Patty's what a finale for season 4! Welcome Chole nurse, mum of 2, and creative mind behind Blue Beetle Co. Chole and Clare met in PICU 10 years ago, quickly bonding over Harry Potter an their joint ADHD energy. Chole's surprise pregnancy, with her son Frankie was really just the start of the journey, when she accidentally delivered him in the car on the drive to the hospital! Who knew a mazda 2 could go 140km/h! Chole and Clare discuss the challenges of raising chalk and cheese kids and meeting the needs of two very different individuals. One way Chole's family lean into the kids passions is by having a themed dinner party. We are talking all costumes, food and drinks included in this theme. As she said how often as a child do the adults in your life fully submerse themselves in your favourite book, movie or hobby. Speaking of Hobbies did we mention we both have ADHD, and love to start a project... Well Chole is ever the entrepreneur whilst pregnant she started making polymer clay earrings of all the foods she was craving but couldn't eat (iced vovo, doughnuts, paddle pops) and would wear them to work. Soon the request came from other nurses for a pair, then she started an etsy store and then one FB post later of a pair of rainbow lorikeet earrings and BAM, the business exploded! She ended up leaving nursing to make earrings full time, had 8 stockist and was doing 4 drops a year. Every single pair of earrings was hand made by her and the detail was insane. Blue Bettle Co ran for 7 years, and still exist to some capacity. But in true ADHD nature, Chole saw something shiny and has another business on the horizon (watch this space). As well as nursing, creative business manager, mum and wife. Chole is a massive advocate for those suffering in DV and family violence, she volunteers with the charity Dangerous Females and host an annual trivia fundraiser in Townsville each year, the next is in October so get your tickets! Dangerous Females raises money for grassroots organisations working in DV space. Something we at Love Patty are very passionate about, so check them out. In this episode Chole and Clare chat casually about life as an ADHD female and how it presents for them, but this is by no means a diagnostic run down of criteria. Clare hasn't opened up about her diagnosis prior to this so it was what felt right at the time. Thank you all for the last 4 seasons, its been such a joy and this ep is ending on a high with so many laughs. We know you will giggle too, Love Patty @bluebeetleco @dangerousfemales

39| Annabelle ACRA Best Sport Presenter, top rated radio program, made redundant on Maternity leave...
*TW* DV themes and coercive control are discussed in this episode* Welcome Annabelle (AB) award wining radio host, sport enthusiast and charity champion! This episode covers so many topics! AB is the first Aussie Female to win the ACRA Best Sports Presenter and Top rated radio program in one week, to then receive the phone call her show was being cut and was made redundant 2 months into maternity leave with her first child Dolly. Clare and AB discuss the pros of paternity leave, and the complexities of navigating returning to work as a Mum. AB then had to move for her new job, going back to work at 5 months postpartum, juggling pumping whilst interviewing on her radio show. AB loves her job and states working in live sport is a carrier highlight; she bleeds maroon and is a massive footy fan. AB has worked with the red's, broncos, dolphins, titans, and sadly had to let her daughter support south Sydney. For AB "motherhood has made everything better in life" and with the support of her husband she is able to continue her amazing charity work and support Women’s placement in the sporting commentary. Clare asks AB how she navigates trolls and negativity; being in the public eye and having a voice you are always at risk. AB shares her wisdom, and often comes to a place of peace: but you cannot please them all. AB kindly shares her fertility journey, including shedding light on the inequities of IVF and fertility services for regional and remote women, with couples having to wait months just to start cycles. AB also very bravely discusses a letter she wrote to her parents 15yrs after they saved her from a DV relationship. She opens up on being contacted by 4 other women who have dated this same man after her, and have experienced violence from him. In Australia it is against the law for women to inform another that their partner is violent or has a history of DV themes. The UK have Clare's Law (also known at the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme – DVDS) which is named after Clare Wood, who tragically lost her life to domestic violence. The law provides individuals with the right to access vital police information about a partner's history of abuse. AB has petitioned to get this law passed in Australia and wants everyone to know it is never too early or too late to get out of an unsafe relationship. Another heightened topic (as AB's Husband is returning to work soon) AB and Clare discuss the complexities and emotions felt by all parents who have to place their children in care. This is such a super charged topic, it’s hard to discuss in such a short space. Honestly the themes were so varied in this episode, we feel there is something for everyone this week, enjoy! Love Patty's

And Chloe planning on delivering her son all in the same week- how time flies and what can happen in a year! 37| Michelle Patricia. Clare's Mum talks FIFO wife life, raising kids solo, her village, returning to work, the joys of being a grandparent and why millennials are struggling in parenthood.
Patty's please welcome Clare's Mum, Michelle; she is often referred to as MarMar on the podcast. Michelle has come to share her wisdom and experiences on raising two young kids mostly solo. Her husband Tony was FIFO, and as marine engineer he would be at sea on large ships for 6 months at a time, where contact was limited to just a phone call when he reached port. Michelle fell pregnant with her son Jackson, where Tony was then away for the final 6 months of her pregnancy. Tony was home for Jackson’s birth, and then had to leave for sea again 11 weeks later, seeing his son next when he was 9 months old. Michelle talks about the fantastic village of friends she had around her, how they would all catch up and hang out together with the kids. Nothing fancy, no pressure or judgement, no sleep schedules, no organic meals, no store brought coffee's or wake windows to worry about. Michelle was a big believer in doing things together, talking on how they would all help each other, particularly once going back to work and were juggling school pick ups, drop offs and holidays. Michelle agrees that our generation seems to have it harder for many reasons with raising our kids, and feels so very blessed to be a grandma (MarMar); to be able to help and support her grandkids. She speaks on the unbelievable love that you feel for them, the joy in spoiling them, whilst also getting a full nights sleep! Clare, Chloe and Michelle have a deeply personal and very nostalgic chat, with so many pearls of wisdom for Mums of all ages. We do not touch on Michelle's cancer diagnosis, this is a battle she is still fighting and we are so very lucky to have her for every breath that we do. I Love You Mum! Thank you for everything you do for me, Love Clare Patricia. Xx

We welcome Melissa Hays from Cocoon & Cradle for all the breastfeeding and holistic sleep support you could need. Her goals are helping new parents thrive in the transition to parenthood, and optimise sleep and feeding with a personalised, tailored holistic input. Mel is a qualified nurse, midwife, international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC), holds two certified infant sleep qualifications, and recently became a qualified orofacical mycologist specialising in all things mouth, tongue and jaw function. Mel focusrs on tongue and lip ties, and how they affect swallowing and latch for breastfeeding. After 10yrs as a nurse and midwife, Mel confidently entered into postpartum thinking "how hard can this be?". Then Mel felt absolutely overwhelmed after the birth of her first child, where she talks openly about crying everyday in the shower, all whilst wading through the amount of conflicting and confusing information about infant feeding and sleep. Driven to do better, she began a journey on educating herself, and building the business she wished existed when she was postpartum. Chloe who is currently 33 weeks pregnant, and Clare who is still breastfeeding her almost 2yr old, are at very different spectrums of feeding and sleep; so we know this episode will have something for everyone! We start with prenatal expressing, what to expect in the first three days of feeding, when to introduce bottles and dummy's (this will surprise you), how to co-sleep, reflux, colic, intolerances, myths on feeding and sleep, as well as tongue and lip ties, weaning toddlers and getting more sleep without sleep training or crying it out. 35| Brandi: twin boys: chronic genetic condition osteogenesis imperfecta, NICU: 103 days post 26wk c-section with 20% chance survival for the boys, IVF fertility journey, grieving pregnancy and a second one, boys 8 years old 30 fractures + 10 surgeries each, life impacts for her and her husband Tim, weekly hospital visits, 23 month drug trial, trauma and triggers for Brandi and the boys, mental health, and filling your cup
In this deeply moving episode, Brandi shares her extraordinary journey as a mother of twin boys Leo and Ash born at just 26 weeks, after a long and difficult IVF process with her supportive Husband Tim. With only a 20% chance of survival, her sons spent 103 agonizing days in the NICU and 28 more in a children’s hospital. Now eight years old, both Leo and Ash live with osteogenesis imperfecta — a rare genetic disorder also known as “brittle bone disease,” which causes extremely fragile bones. Both boys have endured over 30 fractures and 10 surgeries each to date. Their lives can often include weekly hospital visits and treatments, and they are currently 23 months into the Orbit Trial, a drug study using Setrusumab, which Brandi, Tim and their family hope will improve bone density and reduce future fractures. Despite all of these difficulties, her beautiful boys are thriving at school with close friendships, academic success and participate in many sports! Brandi’s story is about more than medical battles — it’s about trauma, identity, and the unspoken weight mothers like her carry. She opens up about the emotional landmines she still navigates daily. Seeing pregnant women used to trigger waves of pain. Hearing well-meaning but dismissive advice like “Just relax and you’ll get pregnant” was not only unhelpful, but deeply invalidating. Now, new triggers have surfaced — not being able to relate to conversations about the third trimester, or those early months of parenthood that she never got to experience. “It’s hard hearing what it could have been like,” Brandi says. “And then if I do share our journey, I feel like I shut the conversation down and everyone just feels sorry for me. It’s a fine balance all the time.” She also reflects on her complex feelings about a second pregnancy. After IVF, they had four embryos left, which they held onto for two years. “I felt so robbed of my pregnancy journey,” she shares. “I debated it for so long — not because I wanted another baby, but because I wanted to be pregnant and experience everything I missed.” Ultimately, Brandi and her husband Tim knew emotionally they couldn’t go through it again. This episode is an honest, heart-wrenching, and ultimately life-affirming look at how Brandi continues to show up with strength, determination, and vulnerability. It’s also a conversation about mental health, healing, and learning to fill your own cup, even when your hands are full.Brandi and her husband Tim are truly amazing! Content note: This episode contains discussions of medical trauma, IVF, NICU experiences, and mental health struggles. Listener discretion advised. 34| Georgia: Beyond the Barre, running a Ballet School, shock of motherhood, sleep training, postnatal anxiety, feeding difficulties and importance of a village.
Welcome 'Miss Georgia' owner, founder and teacher at GC Dance and Balanced Ballerina. Today Chloe and Clare get to live their full 'centre stage' dreams, talking all about life as a ballerina, and the mental strength it took Geoegia to walk away from all she had every known. Georgia shocked literally everyone, when she quit the path of becoming a professional ballerina, left a locker full of pointe shoes and leotards, and flew back home to walk the path of university (something that had never been on her radar). After years away from the sport, she was offered a job teaching ballet, which ignited a flame which she says was the slow burn back to loving dance again. Flame ignited, the 'Type A' girl boss was thriving to build the dance studio she never had, filled with positive coaching and mentors she felt the dance world was lacking. Georgia opened her first studio at 23! starting open adult ballet classes, welcoming all ages and levels to enjoy the structure, empowerment and joy of ballet. Georgia's type A personality has made running a business, teaching and studying a joy. However, nothing prepared her for the wild ride of Motherhood, sleepless nights, feeding struggles, lack of routine and learning to slow down and let go. Georgia talks openly about her anxieties around leaving the house with her beautiful son Beau, their failed attempts at sleep training, switching over to formula feeding, and how she wouldn't have been able to do it without the help and support from her own Mum. Another amazing woman and Mother pathing the way, we know the Patty's will love this ep. Love, Patty xx

26| Jade’s warrior HG experience- sick from weeks pregnant, 120 days of hospitalisation, physical + mental impacts, positive c section, gorgeous alfie, PTSD, guilt of wanting a sibling but lingering hg trauma.
Episode 26 is an insightful, educational, and emotional conversation with Jade’s warrior hypermesis gravidarum (HG) experience during her first pregnancy. Jade talks us through how she was extremely sick from her pregnancy before her period was even due- having to be admitted via ED to the maternity ward at 3 weeks pregnant. Originally it was suspected Jade was having twin girls due to her extreme hg, however it was a single boy in there! This debilating sickness, had Jade spent 120 days in hospital for fluid and medication management, where Jade often could not keep down water, or food..losing 20kgs during her pregnancy. Jade would spend hours on hours each day laying and sleeping in the shower, with physical and mental impacts from her traumatic sickness. She had to take large amounts of time off work, but Dr Adriana Olog at Grace Private, and all the midwives at GC private hospital become her life line- as well as her amazing husband. Jade states she couldn’t have gotten through this dark time without them. She then experienced a positive c section to gorgeous Alfie, who spent 2 weeks in special care. At 18 months she absolutely adores Mum life and her beautiful little boy. However the HG PTSD lingers, also playing out in the form of guilt of wanting another child and sibling for Alfie, but not knowing how dynamically she could go through a second pregnancy like the first. Thank you Jade for spreading awareness on HG, and opening up on your marathon journey- you are again a warrior! Love Patty’s instagram: @lovepattypodcast music: @lillifairfax

25| Paige Connell & the mental load of motherhood, invisible labour, societal pressures on women, unequal division of tasks and how to talk to your partner about it all.
"Where is the Dad guilt?" This episode is all about breaking down the mental loads that women often carry. The societal pressures placed unfairly on women to do it all, and how we can talk to our partners to help build better relationships. So often Mum and women are expected to organise the family, buy the gifts, book the doctors appointments, set the reminders for every social event, do the chores, cook the dinner and also carry the emotional regulation for everyone in the house. What about me?! Does anyone look after me? This invisible load placed on women and mothers, builds and often leads to breaking point arguments about who stacks the dishwasher, when in fact it's so much more than the dishwasher. The resentments can lead to tit for tat. Paige Connell has been creating relatable content on TikTok for years, which make mums around the world finally feel seen! She has now developed a guide on how to talk to your partner about the mental load. This was such a honest and validating conversation on how hard it can be to be a mum today, and we know you'll all leave with some great take home messages. 23| Clare's Meningococcal Meningitis experience, sepsis recognition, ICU, 10% survival rate, PTSD, vaccinations, nursing burnout
This week Clare talks about her scary experience of contracting Meningococcal Meningitis, and how as a healthy 23 year old working out at the gym, then found herself 24hrs later in ICU fighting for her life- her family being told she only had a 10% survival rate. Clare's care slipped through the cracks; we discuss just how hard it is to recognise sepsis and how far we have come since Clare was sick. Clare is a passionate medical educator, and used this experience to further spread knowledge toward recognition, resus and treatment of sepsis. Clare opens up about her PTSD and survivors guilt she experienced at work, as well as the overwhelming responsibility she felt to make sure every one of her sepais patients received evidenced based care. This episode ddiscusses the trauma many health care professionals live with day to day, with Chloe and Clare both opening up on how that can affect your mental health. It's often very hard to see just how much you normalise trauma, until you have time away from the field. We hope that in sharing this story, you feel educated to say "something is not right" when you are worried in the healthcare setting. It can be so difficult to advocate, especially when you are not medically trained, but this is about empowering parents with sick kids, new grad nurses on their first night shift, or for yourself when you are not happy with the answers. Trusting your gut, will get you far in life.
