101. Lying Teens

Why do they do it? They shouldn't lie. Why can't they tell me the truth? They're making poor choices. How do I get them to stop lying? I need to fix this. Any of this sound familiar? You catch them in a lie and your brain spins out. It eventually lands on the hard truth that they can't be trusted and you've failed to teach them right from wrong. Then we attempt to parent them from this head space. Yikes.
