Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Dr. Hernandez shares her inspiring journey from UCLA to USC, where she earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership. As the Founder and Director of Pa’lante Therapy Inc., Dr. Hernandez uses trauma-informed and intersectionality lenses to center her work on BIPOC communities, with a focus on Latine individuals. From mentoring First-Gen professionals and students to decolonizing mental health practices, Dr. Hernandez is leading a transformative movement in healing and education.
