107. The Transition from Baseball & Softball to Golfer with Milo Lines

from T-Time with Tori Totlis

I’m sitting down with golf instructor Milo Lines to dissect the mechanics behind a powerful golf swing by extracting valuable lessons from Milo’s other favorite sport, baseball. We tackle the intricate balance of body rotation and weight shift that is at the heart of generating power in both sports. Milo gives us a unique perspective on the challenges baseball players face when transitioning to golf, especially when it comes to managing hand movement and clubface control. We also unpack those strengths from athletes of other sports like hockey and how anyone can put these lessons to work in elevating their golf game. About Milo Lines: Milo Lines was a standout baseball player in his early years, but due to an elbow injury, his dreams of playing in the big leagues were dashed. After a bit of coaxing from his father, he decided to pick up the game of golf. After graduating from Utah Valley University, Milo turned professional and played full-time on several tours. Since committing his time to coaching, he has also won several PGA section events and qualified to play in the PGA National Championship multiple times. He has been a PGA Professional since 2005 and joined the team at Superstition Mountain as a Golf Instructor in 2011.
