#11 Cecelia Burokas - 'Recognizing New Possibilities'

Cecelia Burokas is a coach who is interested in how people use their work to live their visions for a more just world. Cecelia honed her professional coaching and consulting skills working in schools, corporations, government, and a global consulting firm. Burnt out at the age of 50, she resigned her corporate consulting job and started her own business, working with nonprofits, small businesses, and schools. Regardless of the content of any project, her interest was in helping people and organizations contribute to making the lives of all people more equitable and meaningful.Cecelia is now on the faculty of Northwestern University, where she teaches and coaches in the MS in Learning and Organization Change Program. She has extensive training in Client-centered (Rogerian) Counseling and is a certified GetFive career coach. She also continues to consult.Recently, she has been working as a volunteer to bring vaccines, education, and healthcare resources to underserved communities, as well as working for political candidates who value social justice and equity. She also works with an organization that serves people without permanent housing.Her coaching clients come from many worlds—corporations, government, nonprofits, consulting, healthcare, technology, education and more.
