Nikki Mitropoulas never imagined losing her young husband in a horrific motorcycle accident. Being 8 months pregnant at the time, she faced the reality that her son would never know his father. Her son Danny was born just days after his father, Daniel passed away.  Nikki spent the next several years raising her son. By chance one night while having drinks with friends, Nikki saw an ad for appearing on a dating show. She and her friends applied that same night.  Producers called Nikki the very next day and she was chosen to be on the show, The Single Wives. The whole experience proved to be life-changing for Nikki, who had been living a life of fear and pain and grief.  In the interview she talks about taking new chances, overcoming fear, and giving life a chance!
