110 Why Not Me? with Lisa Brown

Having worked in the NHS for over 20 years, Lisa Brown decided to pursue her passion in property. A chance encounter led Lisa to develop a property for a young man with complex needs and this led her to discover the Supported Living space. Lisa loved combining her 'nursing brain' and her 'property brain' to create a home for life for this individual, however she encountered many challenges in developing this property. Lisa wanted to understand why so few property investors let their properties to Supported Living providers and set about providing a solution to connect property investors and developers through the Supported Living Gateway.   KEY TAKEAWAY "It's about people having the right life, isn't it? In 2018, she decided to follow her passion for property and established Pebble Properties. Whilst developing a property, Lisa realised there was a real problem for supported living providers who were struggling to find property for supported living schemes leaving many vulnerable people housed in unsuitable and unsafe property and unable to be discharged from hospital. This led her to collaborate with others and set up the Supported Living Gateway, a revolutionary way for supported living providers to find property for supported living schemes all over mainland UK.    Lisa lives in Devon with her husband, two teenage sons, dogs, chickens and other assorted pets.
