It's a little easier actually to not put yourself out there. So I realize now I have to network more and put myself out there. Not to just like benefit myself and the company, but to actually help other people. You're like me, you've always had a desire to do more.
And deep inside, you've known there's a way and a possibility for you to achieve your dreams. The lifestyle can achieve the freedom you've always wanted. Because we have what it takes to get things done and learn from others and get the mindset to achieve the dreams we've always wanted. Welcome to SB Warriors.
What is up today? I'm super excited to let you guys know that I have officially gotten the word that Facebook is a go. And as you guys know that I have had some trouble, or not trouble per se, but more a...I've been slapped by Facebook. And I got caught up with a few other businesses when they were going around and slamming businesses who were...did anything wrong whatsoever and I'm sure it's very easy to find something wrong.
And so I had a little bit of a love-hate relationship where the businesses I was helping we depended on Facebook. And getting out there because it was such a... When it first started, everything was super cheap. And so now I wanted to go ahead and use the Facebook platform in order to help business owners get more leads.
And so what we ended up doing is we put it into our actual application. So Facebook does a thing called Facebook Lead Ads. And I don't know if you've ever done it, but basically it allows them to stay the user to stay in the platform to click the button and then say, yes, they want to participate in whatever offer that is. So we decided to implement that into our messaging system where it will gather the lead and then message the lead.
And so what typically happens is you have to log into Facebook, go into the ads manager and then you have to click a button and you can kind of see the number of leads that you have. And your team can see it only if they have permissions to view a certain portion of your ads account. And it was a little bit troubling and a little bit like... It was frustrating for me, a non-user who didn't have the ability to pull those leads.
So I was like, you know, why don't we add this to our app? But what I didn't know was that Facebook was going to require me to verify my business. And so it sounds simple, but first we had to get the program part approved, then we had to get the business approved because you have to have either a person or an entity tied to it. Anyway, so every time we started to create a new solution, we created a new problem for ourselves.
And it was like literally months. I was just like, wait, wait, wait, wait, I was getting ready to do a live lead challenge where my goal is to help us just get more leads and to teach this as a live event. And so I had to put it off because I was like, oh man, this is like one of the key features I want to share is that you can stay in Facebook's platform. And you kind of think of it like if you're going over to somebody's house and they're venue, whatever it is, and if they can keep people inside their venue, then it helps them keep users a happy, keep them safe, b, it also allows them not to get distracted and not come back to the platform because a lot of times what we traditionally do is we take an ad and we go add to a landing page.
And there's nothing wrong with this. But from the advertiser and the advertiser, the relationship is different because my goal as the if I was a Facebook type of platform, my goal is to keep my users on the platform. My goal is to take money, then let people get distracted and then go off the platform. So that's one of the things I'm like, I'm recognizing like, okay, what can we do to keep things in house?
What can we do things to leverage the platform's ability within itself so that it becomes a reciprocal relationship of meaning you win, I win so that there's no, it's not a competitive. And even though I had received a little bit of a Facebook love in the beginning parts of my stage as a career, it doesn't mean that I can't recognize like, look, this guy's a juggernaut. The social media platforms are juggernauts, especially the ones that have been around. And you can fight it all you want or you can recognize where you're at.
And so I did eat some humble pie and recognize where I'm at and recognize that this platform isn't going anywhere until there's the next thing, but it's got strong, solid foundation that's continued to grow, especially overseas. And if you're in a certain demographic, you're more likely to use this platform. So as an advertiser, know who your demographics know where your people are. And so you can collect those leads and so you can get more business and understand the difference.
So while we're super excited, now personally, as I've come through this hurdle, happy and just going, okay, we did it. Now we're here. Now what's next? And this is the part that's actually a little nerve-wracking because now you've removed any excuse whatsoever from holding you back.
And it's kind of, it's this weird moment. So let's just share a little bit of what it's like because we always think things are a certain way. And then when you get there, you're like, oh, okay. Like, I actually have to do something about this.
Like, either I'm a put up or shut up. And now I'm recognizing, okay, I actually enjoy the creative side of building and putting things together. And now, even though I'm a little bit of an introvert, you know, people who, you know, hey, you got a podcast, you jump a video all the time, and you've been a TV commercial. You don't seem like an introvert.
Actually, I am. And so it's a little easier, actually, to not put yourself out there. So I realize now I have to network more and put myself out there, not to just like benefit myself in the company, but to actually help other people. And it's a little easier, actually, to not put yourself out there.
So I realize now I have to network more and put myself out there, not to just like benefit myself in the company, but to actually help other people. It's what helps me reframe this whole process is if I can stop and go, you know what? I'm actually helping other people. And I have to put their needs in front of mine.
Then it doesn't become about myself and my ego, any worry about what people are just judgment, because you know what? You can judge dislike, whatever you want, all you want. But I'm not doing it for just me. I'm actually doing it for my cause of why I got into this in the first place.
And it's because I know what it feels like to have a business shut down. I know what it feels like for family members to put up thousands of dollars, invest in something, sometimes in actual building out a store location, or online or store. And you invest in time, energy, effort, and money. And sometimes you don't have all the systems and knowledge in place in order to help you succeed.
So if I keep that mental mindset of this is why I'm doing what I'm doing, this whole thing, it almost compels you like you're not doing enough to help your people. You're not doing enough to make a difference. And so if I constantly think of myself, I'll never do it because there's no real strategic advantage of motivation to like, I have to do this. But then you put yourself in front of other people who need it, then you go, you know what?
I need to do this and I need to stop BSing myself and just make things happen. So that's where I'm at. Super excited. I'm going to get it going.
