Jamie and Kristy cover the early life and escalating chaos of John McAfee, founder of McAfee Antivirus, from his abusive childhood and rumored lies about his father’s death to his rapid rise in the tech world, creation of antivirus software after the Brain virus, and becoming wealthy before selling his shares for $100 million. After divorcing and leaving his family, McAfee’s life spirals into drugs, reckless spending, and legal trouble, leading him to relocate to Belize in 2008, where he lives lavishly, pursues questionable ventures, and grows increasingly paranoid and armed. After McAfee’s nine dogs are poisoned, his neighbor Greg Faull is found murdered with a close-range gunshot and taser marks, and McAfee becomes the prime suspect amid an unsolved investigation.
