stand somebody up 让某人站起来/放某人鸽子stand up是从小老师就一直在说的表达，是“起立”的意思。不过“standsomebody up”则是表达说，因为无法准时赴约，而放了某人鸽子。使用中将somebody换成自己想要指代的人即可~例句：I am sorry. I won'tstand you up again.我错了，我不会再放你鸽子了。
