12. Do What Many People Are Doing, But Make It a Little Better.

When I was in university, I had a friend called Usman, he graduated as the best-graduating student in my set, Usman used to organise tutorials for us after the lectures is done teaching us, he would help solve problems and also provide clarity to some of the theories, Statistics as a course can be confusing at times. Usman isn’t just brilliant, what separates him and others is that he does what everyone else does and makes it a little better. if we get a question to define something, let’s a distribution, Usman will define the distribution, add the formula, and still define the parameters of the formula. He does this while everyone else will just define the distribution and keeps it moving. This hack made him the best-graduating student. Let me sight another example, imagine you were asked to list 5 items in your kitchen, I am sure you and 90% of people will list and keep it moving, however, the best people that win in life like Usman will list and explain the use of these tools. This is what separates the best from everyone else, in sports, they train with others but train a little more than others when they’re gone. In business, they deliver good products and services and do a little follow-up after 1 week to be sure the customer is good. If you want to be the best in your domain, do everything everybody is doing and do it a little better. GYLT M2S
