In 1989, Charles "Chip" Flynn was found shot in a Florida citrus grove. He had been hanging out with his ex-girlfriend, who claims the duo had been robbed and carjacked by a black man. Despite inconsistent details in what happened that night and an uncertain line-up, Kim Hallock identified Crosley Green as the alleged shooter. The state of Florida took the questionable case against Green and ran with it. They were determined to get "their guy" behind bars even if that meant coercing witnesses and failing to turn over evidence. Green spent decades in prison before his case was overturned.
