12 year-old kids smarter than NYC!

My children and grandchildren are staying at our house until we get their house finished. We always begin dinner with the conversation that begins with the subject. Last night I asked my granddaughters, “If a grocery store is selling you apples at 50 cents each, would you elect a politician who would force the store owner to sell you the apples 30 cents each?” My 12 year old granddaughter Josie thought about it for a bit and answered, “What if store owner’s cost is 40 cents? Why would he sell his apples at 30 cents - and lose 10 cents? You can’t force somebody to sell something at a loss! I’d end up getting no apples at all! I wouldn’t vote for that stupid politician!”  This was from a 12 year old. It seems that 12 year-old kids are a lot smarter than grown up Democrats.
