Classic Who Connection We’ve seen the Doctor talk about humans knack to forget major events, especially extraterrestrial events a few times in New Who. I only know of this happening once in Classic who. That was in the serial Remembrance of the Daleks with the Seventh Doctor but at that point he called it the “capacity for self-deception”.Solar flares have threatened the Earth in many Classic Who serials. With the First Doctor we have The Ark. With the Fourth Doctor we have The Ark in Space. With the Sixth Doctor we have The Mysterious Planet but that was after the Time Lords had relocated them. Both Ark episodes were similar concepts that mirror what the Doctor wanted to do with the TARDIS. Escape the imminent destruction of Earth.There’s a bus in this episode that advertises season 8 of Doctor Who. The serial Remembrance of the Daleks was set on the same day the Doctor Who TV movie premiered. there was a TV in the background that was introducing a “new science fiction adventure, Doc-“. It cut out before finishing the sentence.The past solar flares referenced were not from Classic Who. I chose well.”New name! Afterlife, Promised Land. I prefer “Nethersphere.”Corbin & Tripp – The Half-faced man didn’t actually die but was put into a new body of some kind. That’s not Heaven, though it could be the Promised Land. Tripp – Missy is NOT a robot, perhaps a creator.Corbin – Missy is the bad guy. Missy is the lady in the shop. It’s not Heaven, it’s hell. Robots.  Listener Input  Christina has this feedback about our episode on Flatline!  The Doctor ends up naming the baddie of the week…is this a connection to The Shakespeare Code episode? Knowing the name of your enemy gives you power over them…right? Negotiations have not gone well. Apparently, our HOA will not allow chickens to be raised in the backyard and my husband is completely opposed to raising them in the guest room. I have accused him of hating science and the pursuit of knowledge but quite honestly I’m relieved.
