13. Stand On Business

War is at our doorsteps as we continue to tandem read Sarah J Maas’ Tower of Dawn (chapters 13-42) and Empire of Storms (chapters 19-56). Old enemies, new allies, dead ancestors, and perhaps some frenemies? They all have to pick sides and stand up for what they believe in – and Chaol literally stands! Literally and figuratively! He takes a stand on his feelings, on his mission, and on his wet noodle behaviour. Maybe a bit too late because Sinn finally sees what Alana has been seeing clearly for the past 5 books and may no longer choose to stand up for Chaol. Ever again. And on the business of red flags and standing on business… the Love Island season 8 cast are back for their reunion. Everyone stood up for what they believed, regardless of glaring evidence and receipts that would have us question their positions. But hey, people love commitment to the cause, right? 🙄 While we loved what we got, we SINCEREly needed a little more ownership of actions and a little less sass. Alas, what a way to end the summer.
