13 Violin Lpg

from apertome · host apertome

Abstracted, rhythmic violin and synth sounds playing against one another and an ambient atmosphere. The plucky sounds are a violin, played arco (with the bow), run through one channel of a Make Noise Optomix LPG which is gated by an Arturia Beatstep. A Wiard Anti-oscillator lays through the other Optomix channel, sequenced by a Korg SQ-1. As it plays, I manually modulate the optomix channels to get different effects. The violin is panned partially left, the Anti-osc right, to provide space in the mix and also make them more identifiable. At times their sounds converge in interesting ways. The pads are Novation Ultranova, using one of my own patches.
