135: [Jenn Holman] There Is a Softer Life

Content Warning: infidelity, physical abuse, intimate partner violence, domestic violence, and murder.Jenn Holman is a survivor, mother, and faithful family woman living in Idaho by way of Southern California. Our paths first crossed over eighteen years ago, when she began dating my brother (whom she has chosen to address as Jesse in this episode, although I have referred to him as ‘Rory’ in the past). Her relationship with Jesse began a year and a few months prior to my mother’s murder, and although I was privy to a portion of what Jenn will share in this conversation, some of the more explicit details of the abuse she faced evaded us as a family. Through this interview, I've also now learned a lot more about the night my mom was murdered. I commend her bravery in sharing, and am personally, deeply grateful she was willing to divulge so much with us today.
