Lamaze International identifies two additional practices. Together, these six practices are supported by research, including systematic reviews from The Cochrane Library and the Coalition for Improving Maternity Services (2007). Written for women and their families, the Lamaze Healthy Birth Practice papers describe the importance of each of the six practices for a healthy, safe birth and provide a synopsis of the evidence that supports each practice.
