#14: Now that's Integrated Health!

from Coleman Associates Innovation Podcast · host Coleman Associates

In this episode, we discuss behavioral health models with Kaitlin Boger, E.d.D, LMSW, LMAC the Director of Integrated Care at Hunter Health. The line between integrated health and behavioral health can be a blurry line for some organizations. Hear first-hand in this podcast how Hunter Health Clinic does integrated health from Director of Integrated Care, Kaitlin Boger. Kaitlin walks us through the difference between Behavioral Health (BH) and the BH Integrated care model and its evolution over time. Additionally, how Hunter provides access to patients needing behavioral health services. Kaitlin describes the way in which their integrated care model reduces the patient wait time between seeing the medical provider and the behavioral health specialist. Rather than seeing patients after the provider, integrated care consultants began seeing patients before the medical provider, which she realized allowed them to provide better care as they often uncover more details from each patient.  The integrated care model allows wider access to behavioral health for the entire community. If your organization or health center is looking to improve upon its integrated BH model, this podcast will provide you with experience and tips to improve your systemTweet us @colemanassoc, send us an email, or follow us on Facebook.Guests:@Kaitlin Boger, E.d.D, LMSW, LMACHost:@AmandaLaramie@Ryan JuryThanks for listening!  Check us out on: FacebookInstagramLinkedInOur WebsiteTikTokTwitterYouTube
