Welcome to EKA 145! Today we are joined once again by Nishat Ahmed, aka Nish from seminal lakeshore emo band tenmonthsummer! If you've been following our show since the beginning, you remember Nish from one of our earliest episodes! Since then, Nish has been a near and dear friend of the show so when word got out about a new tenmo EP, we had to run it back! In this interview Nish and I dive into the state of the world, the state of diy emo, and the state of our own lives. Their new EP "Your Name Is My Ocean" comes out on May 15th and Nish and I dive into the evolution of the band from fate lines til now. Political unrest, financial instability, the world is an ugly place but the magic of tenmo is finding the beauty in the ugliness around us. Don't worry though, it's not all serious!
