GUT HEALTH Gut health refers to the overall health and well-being of the gastrointestinal tract, which includes the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine (colon). The gastrointestinal tract is responsible for digestion, absorption of nutrients, and elimination of waste products from the body. Gut health is determined by the balance of microorganisms that reside in the gut, collectively known as the gut microbiome. The gut microbiome plays an important role in the digestive process and also has a significant impact on overall health, including the immune system, brain function, and metabolism. When the gut microbiome is imbalanced, it can lead to a variety of health problems such as gastrointestinal issues, autoimmune disorders, and mental health problems. Maintaining a healthy gut microbiome requires a balanced diet rich in fiber, probiotics, and prebiotics, as well as avoiding excessive use of antibiotics and minimizing stress. Common signs of poor gut health include abdominal pain, bloating, gas, diarrhea, and constipation. Maintaining good gut health is important for overall health and well-being, and can be achieved through a combination of healthy eating habits, regular exercise, and stress management. CYCLE SYNCING Cycle syncing is a term used to describe the practice of adjusting one's diet, exercise, and self-care routine to align with the different phases of the menstrual cycle. The menstrual cycle is divided into four phases: menstrual, follicular, ovulatory, and luteal. During each phase, hormone levels fluctuate, affecting energy levels, appetite, and mood. By adjusting one's diet and exercise routine to match these changes, it is believed that one can optimize health and well-being. ANABOLIC WINDOW The anabolic window refers to the period of time after a workout during which it is believed that the body is more receptive to nutrients that promote muscle growth and repair. Specifically, it is thought that consuming a meal or supplement containing protein and carbohydrates within 30-60 minutes after exercise can enhance muscle protein synthesis and improve recovery. The theory behind the anabolic window is that exercise causes microtrauma to muscle fibers, which stimulates the production of new muscle proteins. Consuming protein and carbohydrates shortly after exercise provides the necessary nutrients for this process to occur, leading to increased muscle growth and faster recovery. _______________________ Find your STRENGTH at Burn Boot Camp! 💪 45-minute cardio + strength workouts 💪 AM + PM camps offered throughout the day 💪 Focus meetings to set your goals 💪 Personalized nutritional guidance 💪 A community like no other 💪 1-1 expert trainer coaching 💪 Complimentary Childwatch Ready to start your fitness journey?
