#15: Breaking Barriers: A Clinician's Journey from Patient Care to Quality Analysis

 This episode features Jessica Merino, DPT. Jessica Merino is a Physical Therapist who recently pivoted out of direct patient care and into healthcare performance improvement. In prior roles, she worked in acute care, acute rehab, school based, home health pediatrics, telehealth and digital health. She found herself bouncing from setting to setting as she yearned for continued growth and also "building her toolbox" of skills. She is currently in a full-time non-clinical job at a non-profit organization where she uses her clinical skills to assess performance improvement opportunities in a home care agency. The road to pivoting to a non-clinical position took a lot of self-reflecting and rejections, however - she feels deep in her soul that this new job came at the right time and with the right team, and for that she is grateful.
