15: Things I Wish I Knew as a First Time Mom

Guys I had another episode that accidentally published early -even though I had wanted this one to be episode 14 in honour of Maddox' 5th Birthday today since it's the 14th and this was supposed to be episode 14 - but we are rolling with the double post this week! Being his 5th birthday... it felt right to share an episode about motherhood and some reflections I've had regarding what I wish I knew as a first time mom. That so many things we worry about don't actually really prepare us for motherhood and some things I wish I knew as a first time mom that I thought may be helpful to share with others... like the physical things you need to be prepared, some info around nursing and breastfeeding, wellness checks, birth and so much more! I feel like I have SO much to say and share around this topic and I could get a lot more specific in order to help and support mothers in this area as well.. feel free to answer the spotify poll to help me figure out what other info could be helpful for you to learn about and have me go more in detail about. And most of all for all my new mamas.. give yourself grace and ASK FOR HELP!! Do not be ashamed to admit if you are overwhelmed or unsure about things! Your mama friends would be glad to help you. + If you're a mom and are listening.. just know its a journey and you're meant to evolve, change and grow - I didn't know everything I know now with my first 2 babies and theres SO much I would do differently with the next baby based on the knowledge I have learned since then.. so be kind to yourself - you are always doing the best you can with the information you have <3 Sending so much love on your mama journey, no matter what stage you are at.
