155. Three Pokémon, One Cup

Lured Up Podcast 155 Record Date 11/11/2020 Publish Date 11/13/2020   As we wrap up Animation Week, we recap our recent gameplay including the Special Weekends, Jigglypuff Spotlight Hour as well as Lugia in Raids. While the encounter pool wasn’t the strongest and the non Legendary Raid pool was weak, we still had a great time being on the shiny hunt. Goh in photobombs was also a very welcomed surprise in GO Snapshot.   GBL Season 5 is underway and the Little Cup has won the hearts of many Trainers! While the meta doesn’t have much time to develop, there are some usual suspects that have made their way onto many teams that you will face this week. We also revisit the upcoming Kanto and Catch Cups, giving some updated community feedback from this week.   Australia and New Zealand are getting an XP Rebalance which greatly increases the amount of XP you can earn from most everyday tasks. It will be interesting to see if this sticks around or spreads to other areas of the world! Either way, we are ready for the Level Cap increase!   The City Spotlight event has been announced which brings up some health concerns even though the events were developed in conjunction with the cities to ensure all health and safety measures are followed. With only 4 cities across the world taking part, I think we will see limited feedback from this event.   Finally, Pokémon HOME Integration is here and we share our hot takes on the Transporter and the Energy economy.
