#156 The Strange Case of Condy Dabney
from Strange & Unexplained · host True Crime Guys
In October 1925, a young girl's body was discovered at the bottom of a mineshaft near Coxton, Kentucky. Even though the remains were practically unrecognizable, the authorities identified her as 14-year-old Mary Vickery, who had gone missing two months earlier. In March of 1926, Condy Dabney, a married father of two and former miner, was accused of her murder and quickly indicted. Seems like an open and shut case right? Except, Mary Vickery was in fact, very much alive. And the remains that were found at the bottom of the mineshaft.. have never been identified.
