#156 Your Return to Being Part 2 (Contemplation)

from The Everyday Ceremony · host Tim Dörfler

This second part continues the contemplative journey — a gentle exploration into the subtle, often misunderstood relationship between being and becoming. So much of our lives are shaped by the drive to become: to improve, evolve, arrive somewhere better than where we are now. In that obsession, we often forget how to truly be. We live in anticipation of a future self, missing the aliveness of the moment that’s already unfolding. In this episode, I reflect on how being is not the opposite of becoming, but its foundation. How the return to being doesn’t stop growth, ambition, or movement — it simply softens the struggle within it. Becoming doesn’t disappear; it becomes more spacious, more intimate, more alive. This is a poetic and contemplative invitation to rest in the present while still honoring the natural movement of life. To notice how much more enjoyable the process of becoming can be when it’s no longer driven by urgency, self-correction, or resistance — but held within trust, presence, and curiosity.Nothing to fix.Nothing to force.Just a deeper permission to be — and to let becoming unfold from there.
