from Inside with Brett Hawke · host Brett Hawke

Andrew Lauterstein won the Bronze medal in the 100 Fly at the 2008 Beijing Olympics touching out Ian Crocker by just .01 of a second. He was a 21 year old Aussie with no expectations.  "You know that race that Michael Phelps didn't look like he won but he won? Well I got 3rd in that one." - Andrew Lauterstein Lauterstein was a superb high school backstroker. At Australian Olympic Trials in 2004 he placed 3rd in the 100 Back. A year later he made the Australian World Champs Team. He was coached by Glenn Baker from age 11 to 21.  Today Andy is a very busy man. He runs Engine Swim with another Australian Olympic Bronze medalist in Toby Haenen, has a swim school, and just took over Mentone Aquatic.
