#16 A simple parenting tool you might be overlooking

Send us Fan MailI have been wanting to talk about this for a while, and something that happened this morning with my 9-year-old motivated me to record this episode! Since our kids are little babies, we learn to predict what's going to happen: how many diapers will I need? How much food should we bring?... We start anticipating what is going to happen in order to prepare ourselves. What we sometimes forget is how POWERFUL it can be not only to prepare for practical things but for situations and behaviours and that we can also help our kids learn to anticipate and prepare themselves for situations too!This is such a powerful tool that we all use but sometimes don't use to its maximum potential.In this episode, with a few practical examples, I explain all the different ways you can use it in the everyday and how it can help in your family's everyday dynamics, from sibling conflicts to morning routines.I hope you find it useful.
