In 2022 nam Djûke afscheid van haar werk bij het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken om voor haar droom te gaan: een voorstelling maken over migratie in Europa. Voor haar voorstelling Borders deed ze onderzoek naar dit thema en kwam erachter dat ze in plaats van dit brede thema te behandelen het beter kleiner en persoonlijker kon maken. Ze kwam uit bij haar ervaring als ambtenaar ten tijde van de val van Kabul in 2021. Op basis van interviews met ambtenaren, politici en vluchtelingen maakte ze een pilotpresentatie, waarin ze al een paar nummers speelde in de Meervaart.
