161. 'Sage on the Stage' - Are Lectures Passé?
from Preconceived
Doctors have been trained in pretty much the same way for many decades. Prior to any hands-on practical training, medical students spend about 2 years going through a series of lectures delivered by other doctors. In fact, this is the general model for how most professionals, and even undergraduate students, are trained – via in-person traditional sorts of lectures with a professor standing at the front of a large lecture hall, disseminating the information that is to be learned. But is this the best approach for learning, both in the context of medical school, and educational programs at large? Dr. Sanjay Sharma joins the podcast. Hosted on Acast.
