1662年2月9日，顺治十八年十二月二十一日（延平王永历十六年十二月二十一日），台湾热兰遮城的铁门缓缓打开，荷兰东印度公司、台湾总督弗里德里希·揆一（Frederick Coyett）带领荷兰官员缓步走出。受降仪式在热兰遮城西南、乌得勒支堡东北的开阔地举行。场地中央，设有一块宽大的灰色帐幕，四面敞开，以便于观瞻。郑成功部下的将士，刀光耀眼盔明甲亮，在帐幕周围戒备森严。
