167. Burn In, Burn Out

Lured Up Podcast 167 Record Date - 2/17/2021 Publish Date - 2/19/2021   In our final week before the Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto, we dig in to last week’s events including the Lunar New Year Event and the Valentine’s Day 2021 Event. These events were a refreshing change from the Regional Celebration events that we have been accustomed to over the last few weeks.    In addition to the Kanto Celebration Event that we discussed last week, we also had the announcement of the Kanto Raid Day coming at the end of the month featuring the Kanto Birds and the return of Giovanni. This event is a bit strange as while it is a Raid event, it also has a Team GO Rocket element including the opportunity to TM away Frustration from Shadow Pokémon. As we look forward to March, we have our first Community Day announced with Fletchling!    We wrap up our episode with a Poke The Bear segment looking at the current feeling of event burn out within the community. While some enjoy the onslaught, we can all agree that the pacing of the game has been nuts, and leaves little to the imagination when it comes to the future. Is this just our new norm?
