from Make Your Damn Bed

(Content warning) The whole point of patriarchy is to dominate. To exert power over the powerless. To brutalize people to the point of submission. Imperialism, colonialism, slavery… These things were never about having enough resources to survive, as the dirty ass settlers and hideous ass enslavers tended to have plenty of means. Hierarchy will always result in someone being on top, and someone being on bottom. The patriarchy has always been about power. And what could offer a more efficient way to exploit others for power than in committing the most heinous, violent, volatile, and truly unbelievable acts on literal children? Nothing.  Patriarchy, unchecked and in its purest form, is pedophilic. BUT this is a cultural problem, and cultures can adapt. Many cultures don't have this same hierarchy. There are better options. Sure, this has been a huge issue for generations, which is why I think we should take advantage of the fact that we're finally talking about it and change the fucking culture.
